Instructor: Nate Yearwood
Krump began in the early 2000s. This high intensity dance craze was created by 2 dancers. Ceasare Willis aka Tight Eyez and Jo'Artis Ratti aka Big Mijo. There are also other honorable mentions to those that helped pioneer this dance such as Christopher "Lil C" Toler (seen on So You Think You Can Dance) and Marquisa Gardner. This dance started as an outreach for inner city youth who grew up in the harsh streets of Los Angeles. Although often compared to its counterpart, Clowning, Krump has evolved far beyond what any of us can imagine. The style has changed tremendously over the decade.
